This is a PROBLEM

Have you ever said, “I’m just going to put blinders on and work through this”?

My grandmother used to say “keep your nose in the books” and to me that translated to “just focus on what YOU’RE doing” (a.k.a don’t get distracted)!!

The goal is to get “it” done but…

You also need to know when it’s time to stop (and when to keep going).

If you don’t have a goalyou don’t know when it’s time to stop (and when to keep going).

If you don’t have anyone looking out for you (watching out for your blind spots) — you don’t know when it’s time to stop (and when to keep going).

If you don’t have something to look forward to ONCE you are “done” — you won’t know when it’s time to stop (and when to keep going those last.few.yards)

I get it.

I have been an entrepreneur — starting, growing and selling my own profitable companies — since 1996. Yup, I’m NOT new.

I have sold millions of dollars in “invisible” services for BIG companies and private startups alike. I have taught thousands of freelancers (web designers, fractional consultants, ads managers, agency owners, coaches, and other subject-matter experts) to sell for themselves with confidence and kindness.

One pattern repeats itself over and over — you’ve got to know “when” enough is enough (and when to keep going because the goal is just on the other side of the fog)

Here are my top 3 tips:

Set a Clear Goal: It’s your lighthouse. Without it, you won’t know when to stop or keep going.

Hire a Trustworthy Co-pilot: Someone to watch your blind spots, ensuring you don’t miss the forest for the trees.

Have a ‘Next Steps’ Plan: Always know what comes after crossing each milestone. It keeps the momentum going.

Let me share a story about a brave soul who ventured to swim from the coast of California to Catalina Island amidst heavy fog. With visibility near zero, she pressed on until exhaustion whispered deceitfully that she was too far from her goal. Surrendering, she signaled for rescue, not realizing she was a mere mile from the shore.

The moral?

Even when fatigue sets in and the end seems nowhere in sight, sometimes we’re closer to our goals than we think. It underscores the pivotal moment when removing our blinders can reveal just how near the finish line is.

The Journey Is Yours, But You’re Not Alone

Whether you’re crafting the offer of your dreams, braving the world of content creation, or setting the stage for your next big launch, remember — it’s okay to get tired.

What’s important is knowing when to take a breather, reassess, and perhaps, take off those blinders momentarily to gain perspective.

I’ve been told I’m quite the cheerleader for my clients, reminding them of their ‘why’ and reassuring them of their proximity to success.

Consider this your gentle nudge to remember that someone out there could significantly benefit from your offer. You have a moral obligation to share it, fatigue notwithstanding.

Today, I hope to be the beacon that guides you through your entrepreneurial fog, offering both education and inspiration.

Remember, while putting on your blinders can propel you forward, knowing when to lift them is the art of navigating through entrepreneurship. You’re closer to your goals than you think. Keep going, and remember, you’re not alone in this journey.

There is a community full of amazing, smart, hard-working, and totally inspired business owners just like you.
